Season ticket sales at Hartlepool United have broken through the 2,000 barrier.

Brothers Eddie and Frank Stokle were the lucky pair who pushed the sales figure past the latest milestone when they popped in to the ticket office at Victoria Park.

Long-term Season Ticket holders in the Niramax Stand, the brothers will once again be behind the team in the new campaign when they’ll also be bringing their grand-children Ashton and Talia.

“I just hope we can get in to the top ten pushing for the play-offs – and I’m sure we can under Ronnie Moore,” said Eddie, a retired HGV driver from Foggy Furze.

“I’m 100% confident in the manager after what he did last season and with the signings he’s brought in I think we could be in for a good season – let’s just make sure there’s no more heartache!

“It’s brilliant that we’ve reached 2,000 season ticket holders now, especially when there is a month left to go before the season starts so it all bodes well for 2015-16.”

Adults can buy their season tickets for £250 if they get in before the Early Bird deadline at the end of July.
