HARTLEPOOL United have now sold 3,000 season tickets as the countdown to the new season begins.
The landmark book was sold to Matthew Todd, who will be watching from the Hartlepool College of Further Education Stand during the new campaign.
The 28-year-old, who was not a season ticket holder last season but has been in the past, said he is looking forward to the 2013/14 campaign.
He added: “I think with us being in a lower division this year we will do well and I’m just hoping to see us play some good attacking football. Promotion would be nice but I would prefer to watch some good quality football and that’s what I am hoping for.
“The price was obviously a factor in buying season tickets again, it’s a really good offer.”
Matthew met new manager Colin Cooper and his assistant Craig Hignett when he was down at Victoria Park buying his ticket.
He said: “They’re both really nice and I was very happy when they were named. I used to watch them as players, they were both quality and I have high hopes for the season under them.”
