HARTLEPOOL United summer transfer target Ryan Donaldson still hasn’t given up hope of winning a new deal at Newcastle United, writes CRAIG HOPE.
The 19-year-old returned to his parent club this week after a two-month loan stint at Victoria Park.
Donaldson’s contract expires in the summer and Pools boss Mick Wadsworth is keeping tabs on his situation.
The striker, however, is still hoping to impress Magpie manager Alan Pardew before the end of the season.
And Donaldson, who marked his return to Tyneside with a goal during yesterday’s 2-1 reserve-team win over Everton, told SportMail: “The gaffer said it was the first time he’s seen me, and it was important to get back here and show him what I can do.”
