HARTLEPOOL United have been drawn at home to play Bradford City in the second round of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

Pools, who received a bye through round one, will probably host the Bantams on Tuesday October 9.

Bradford, managed by local lad Phil Parkinson, from Stockton, have had a mixed start to their League Two campaign and went into this weekend’s programme 12th in the table.

Pools met City in the same stage of the competition in 2010 when a Leon McSweeney goal took the home side to victory.

The draw was made on popular Sky footy show Soccer AM.
