LUKE James and Brad Walker walked away with the top awards at Hartlepool United’s awards night.
Not only that, they took to the catwalk to model Pools home and away strips for the 20-14-15 season.
James, handed the Supporters and Players player of the year awards, donned the new home kit which is very similar to this year’s shirts except it is minus a collar.
Walker, the Young Player of the Year and the winner of the Michael Maidens goal of the season, wore the pink and black away strip.
The 18-year-old scored three times this season and all three were shortlisted for the best goal – but his spectacular volley in the 1-1 draw at Southend was the overwhelming choice of the capacity audience at the Staincliffe Hotel in Seaton Carew.
It proved an entertaining night, which was compared by former Premier League and FA Cup final referee turned media pundit Jeff Winter.
James, hardly surprisingly, won both main trophies, after a brilliant season and 16 goals.
Michael Duckworth, an inspired signing by boss Colin Cooper from non-league Bradford Park Avenue last summer, was named as the supporters Away Player of the Year.
James Poole won the Football in the Community Player of the Year trophy.
