HARTLEPOOL United have entered the red – with their new away kit that is.
Colin Cooper’s men will wear the new outfit during today’s season-opener at Rochdale.
Pools skipper Antony Sweeney was joined by striker James Poole at Victoria Park as they unveiled the stylish, new design.
And Sweeney said: “It can make a difference if you feel comfortable and smart and this ticks both boxes.
“I remember we went on a run in the maroon away kit a couple of seasons back so hopefully we can do the same in the red.”
Once again supplied by Nike, the kit is made from Dri-FIT 100% pique polyester and has a vertical white contrasting stripe with flat seem construction to encase the club logo and sponsor name.
The front of the shirt displays the new sponsorship link-up with Bartercard, a business trading company who have also moved in to football with the likes of Birmingham City and Bolton Wanderers.
On the back of the neck, a further sponsor is incorporated with Upsyde, specialists in project management, engineering and construction in the energy sector.
The new shirt is not yet available to buy but will be in the coming weeks.
