HARTLEPOOL United’s young stars will emerge stronger men when the club emerges from their battle for League Two survival.
That is the view of a captain Sam Collins.
Life is a desperate struggle at the moment for Pools, who are only two points above the bottom two following six defeats on the spin.
But Collins said: “If we stay up the young players will be a lot better players and men for it.
“We have not been helped by losing three or four very good players because of injury and some lads have been running on empty.
“But if we get through this situation then the players will be stronger for it.”
Pools have just three games left, home dates against fellow strugglers Morecambe and Exeter plus Saturday’s trip to Plymouth Argyle, who are out of sorts following a bad run.
