JOHN Hughes looks set to name an unchanged side for tonight’s League One clash with Bournemouth (kick off 7.45pm).
Pools reassessed the Victoria Park playing surface this morning with The Cherries set to fly to the North-East before lunchtime.
Hughes was keen for the game to get the go-ahead given the injury-free state of his squad at present.
He would have sent out an unchanged XI for the fourth game in a row had Saturday’s visit of Colchester United not fallen foul of the snow which hit the region last week.
Pools’ last outing was the 1-1 draw at Shrewsbury Town 10 days ago, Charlie Wyke opening his senior account with a second-half equaliser.
The Middlesbrough loanee will again start in a withdrawn role behind striker Steve Howard tonight, and Hughes has been pleased with his progress over recent weeks.
“We’ve got Charlie sorted here until the end of the season and that was great news,” he said.
“It means the boy knows where he’s at and can concentrate on keeping his place in our side, which he’s done recently.
“He’s got his first goal and the target now is to get a few more.
“He works well in that area behind big Stevie and he’s getting into good positions.”
