HARTLEPOOL United are on the verge of hitting their first magic number in the club’s second season ticket ‘giveaway’.
Pools hope to reach 1,000 today after ending on 953 at the close of business yesterday.
It is good going from Pools considering May is not over yet.
Twelve months ago, Pools had launched the £100 ticket, providing they sold more than 5,000 – a ‘score’ they surpassed with some comfort.
This time around the offer is still an impressive one, £155 which equates to less than £7 per game. The price for senior citizens is £125, £75 for U19s and only £50 for U16s.
Pools have said that “every person, over the age of 16, who buys a season ticket will be entered into a prize draw for up to £15,000 if sales stay strong.”
Sharon Precious, Pools ticket office manageress, told the club’s website: “We’re hoping that we can hit the 1,000 mark which would give us a great platform for another strong summer of sales.”
