HARTLEPOOL United’s youth team will look to atone for their season-opening defeat with a win against last year’s league winners Hull tomorrow writes CHRIS BELL.
John Hewitson’s men were beaten 3-1 by Lincoln last Saturday, in a game the Pools Head of Youth later admitted that they were “dealt a harsh lesson”.
Their home game against The Tigers tomorrow represents a chance to get their first points on board. Hewitson told SportMail: “I think we were dealt a harsh lesson last Saturday.
“We didn’t give the opposition enough respect and Lincoln are a honest, hard-working side. Individual mistakes cost us and after them we struggled.
“Hull won the league last year and are a well organised, tough side. It should be a hard game and we know that but we are very much looking forward to it.”
