Roy Kelly gives his player ratings below:

Hartlepool United:

Joe Fryer Looking the part more and more as the weeks go on, some very good saves and good box presence. One spectacular throw to Donnelly showed his distribution skills. 7

Kenton Richardson: Overcame a bit of an uncertain start and got stronger and more confident as game went on. 6

Brad Walker: One mistake aside when he allowed Bren Dickenson a chance, he was excellent again. 7

Scott Harrison: Showing some of his best form in a Pools shirt, commanding with a big C. MOTM. 7

Liam Donnelly: Produced some outstanding defensive work in the Pools box, what a shame he was at fault for the crucial second goal. 6

Nicky Featherstone: Made Pools tick in the middle and did some great play in both halves of the field. 7

Michael Woods: Some really positive play from the midfielder, regularly making forward thrusts. Had assist for goal. 7

Lewis Alessandra: Got himself into some good positions but final touch or shot was not as good as the approach play. 6

Rhys Oates: Put in the hard yards and did some excellent defensive work, the time he cleared ball AND man from a first-half corner in front of the away support was worth the admission money. 6

Padraig Amond: Headed wide from a Thomas cross and produced a lot of running, deserved a goal for his efforts. 7

Nathan Thomas: Like Alessandra, his final application, whether a shot or cross did not match the preceding play. But finished his goal well and is looking more threatening. 7
