Ronnie Moore restored fit-again Billy Paynter to the Hartlepool United side for this afternoon’s mid-table battle with Cambridge United.

The Pools skipper missed the last-ditch defeat at Exter with hamstring trouble but was OK to resume against the U’s

He replaced Dan Jones with Jake Carroll reverting to left-back.

It meant Moore paired Paynter with Rakish Bingham and Rhys Oates up front.
