MATTY Dolan’s stay on loan at Hartlepool United is over...for the time being at least.
The Hartlepool-born midfielder had been a revelation for his hometown team on a four-month stay from Middlesbrough.
Pools boss Colín Cooper had hoped to keep the 20-year-old for the remainder of the season, as he arranged with Boro over central defender Christian Burgess.
But Boro head coach Aitor Karanka has recalled Dolan so he can watch him in training and playing for their U21 Team in the Barclays Premier Reserves League.
“Mr Karanka wants to see all the Boro players who are out of contract this summer,” Cooper said. “Matty is one of those players.”
