CRAIG Hope brings you his verdict the Hartlepool United players who starred in the weekend victory over Notts County.

Flinders 7 – Presence from crosses was so important in calming nerves and made what saves he had to with little fuss

Austin 7 – Was key in seeing the result out with his aggression and commitment to the cause

Hartley 8 – Showed great desire to force home the winner and was solid at the back as well

Collins 7 – Reliable once again and refused to afford opposition strikers time or space

Horwood 7 – Another assist for the full-back and continues to show quality going forward

Walton 9 – Built on last week’s performance with an even better display, shied away from nothing and deserved his ovation from home crowd. MOM.

Humphreys 7 – Quieter game than recent weeks but work-rate was right up there

Baldwin 7 – Got about the park and showed quality and aggression in equal measure

Franks 8 – Super cross for opening goal and was a threat throughout

Poole 9 – Just pipped for star-man prize by Walton, his best game of season and what a goal that opener was

Wyke 8 – Looks much more comfortable in advanced role and again led the line with strength and maturity

Holden 6 – Helped restrict threat of Campbell-Ryce late on

James 6 – You can tell confidence is returning and he was dangerous
