TWENTY five days to go!
Twenty five days until Nolberto Solano will pull on the Hartlepool United shirt for the first time.
Solano’s signing was some coup for Pools and owners Increased Oil Recovery, with the 36-year-old’s respect for first-team coach Mick Wadsworth the clincher of the deal.
Pools visit the Netherlands for their annual pre-season tour and the former Newcastle United star will, potentially, feature in the opening match on Saturday July 9.
And the skilful South American says he will play wherever Wadsworth wants him to play.
“I have been playing right back for the last few years,” said Solano, who made 12 appearances for Hull City in the npower Championship last season.
“In that position you get more time on the ball and I am more comfortable with the ball.
“But if Mick wants to play me in midfield, whether that’s the middle or right, I’m happy with that.
“Whatever the situation I will help him in any position he wants me to play.
“I came here to be positive for him and that’s what I’ll do. I will do my best for him.”
