HARTLEPOOL United have completed the re-signing of Ryan Noble on a one-month loan deal from Sunderland.

The 20-year-old striker enjoyed a nine-game spell at Victoria Park towards the back end of last season, scoring two goals from nine outings.

Noble, who joins Black Cats team-mate Craig Lynch at Pools, will go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s trip to Crewe Alexandra.

Pools boss Neale Cooper watched the former England youth international net twice for Sunderland’s reserves during a 2-1 win at Middlesbrough on Thursday.

And Cooper said: “I’ve never hidden the fact I’d love Ryan to come back.

“He came in last year and did really well for us and fitted in straight away; I’ve been chasing it up but he’s been in and about the first-team plans at Sunderland this year.

“I’m delighted we’ve managed to do the deal now and I have to say Sunderland have been really helpful with us - they want him to get games and I think he will really thrive playing off big Steve Howard.”
