HARTLEPOOL United have confirmed on-loan Middlesbrough defender Christian Burgess will remain with the club until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old has been in fine form since joining the Sky Bet League Two side in the summer and the club has confirmed the deal, as expected, is now in place.
A club spokesman said: “Christian Burgess will remain with Pools until the end of the season after a new loan deal was agreed for the defender.
“The 22-year-old initially moved to Victoria Park on loan at the beginning of August and has since made 28 appearances for the Club.
“He will now be available to face Bury at The Vic on New Year’s Day, subject to approval from the Football League.”
