STUART Parnaby and Darren Holden start for Hartlepool United this afternoon against Bury as manager Colin Cooper makes three changes to his team.

Player coach Sam Collins drops out of the team with Neil Austin asked to partner captain Matthew Bates in the centre of defence.

Middlesbrough loanee Ryan Brobbel also misses out, with Parnaby shaking off a foot injury to return to the starting line-up.

Pools are looking to bounce back from two defeats to start the season, the 1-0 defeat at Stevenage on the opening day of the Sky Bet League Two season and the 6-2 thrashing at Port Vale in the Capital One Cup.

Luke James and Marlon Harewood will lead the line up front for Pools against David Flitcroft’s Bury side.

Tommy Miller, 35, who was released by Bury in the summer, starts against his former team in central midfield for Cooper’s side.

The visitors have named experienced front man Ryan Lowe up front alongside last year’s top scorer Daniel Nardiello.

The last time these two sides met at Victoria Park, in January, Pools were on the wrong end of a 3-0 defeat.

Bury have named former Pools forward James Poole on the bench for today’s match.
