Ronnie Moore has named an attacking line-up for the visit of Morecambe on the opening day of the League Two campaign.

With injures to Trevor Carson, who is facing a spell out with a badly bruised toe, Dan Jones (back), Jordan Richards (back) and Brad Walker (thigh), Moore has tinkered with his line-up.

Pools had played 3-5-2 all pre-season but Scott Fenwick comes into the side, supporting Rakish Bingham and Billy Paynter in an attacking 4-3-3 formation.

Adam Bartlett continues in goal, while Harry Worley, Jake Carroll, Carl Magnay and Billy Paynter all start against The Shrimps.

Pools (4-3-3): Bartlett, Duckworth, Harrison, Worley, Carroll, Magnay, Featherstone, Woods, Fenwick, Paynter (C), Bingham.

Subs: Denton, Bates, Hawkins, Nelson-Addy, Oyenuga, Smith, Oates.

Morecambe: (4-3-3): Roche, Beeley, Edwards, Devitt, Murphy (C), Molyneux, Ellison, Mullin, Wildig, Wilson, Parrish.

Subs: Thompson, McGowan, Kenyon, Goodall, Miller, Fleming, Ryan.
