GARY Liddle has been released by Hartlepool United – while there has been belated confirmation of Nobby Solano’s exit.
The news of Liddle’s departure, however, will come as a shock to supporters with the midfielder having been a mainstay of the Pools’ side over the past six seasons, appearing nearly 300 times.
But the 25-year-old’s time at Victoria Park is now up and Neale Cooper will continue his search for a new central midfielder.
Both Liddle and Solano were out of contract this month and they join Adam Boyd, James Brown, Steve Haslam, Colin Larkin and Callum Hassan in leaving the club.
