JORDAN Hugill starts for Hartlepool United against York City at Bootham Crescent after overcoming an eye injury.
The on-loan Preston North End striker was a major injury doubt, with rumours emerging ahead of the game that he had detached a retina in the 1-0 defeat to Southend United on Easter Monday.
Those fears proved unfounded and after seeing an eye specialist on Friday he starts at Bootham Crescent for third-bottom Pools.
Russ Wilcox’s men are 19th, five points ahead of Pools, going into the crunch Sky Bet League Two clash.
Hugill’s return has allowed Ronnie Moore to name an unchanged side, for the fourth consecutive match.
There is a further welcome boost with Scott Fenwick returning to the squad after two months out with an ankle injury.
