Team news: Matthew Bates starts for Hartlepool against Chesterfield

Ronnie Moore has made one change to his Hartlepool United line-up for the final pre-season friendly - with Matthew Bates back in defence.

He replaces Dan Jones who is out with a back injury.

Bates starts in a back three alongside Scott Harrison and Harry Worley, with Pools again playing a 3-5-2 formation.

Adam Bartlett starts in goal, with Trevor Carson missing out with a badly bruised toe.

Jordan Richards is also out with a back injury.

Rakish Bingham and Billy Paynter continue their partnership in attack.

Pools: Bartlett, Duckworth, Harrison, Worley, Bates, Carroll, Magnay, Featherstone, Woods, Bingham, Paynter.
