Sam Collins made one change to the Hartlepool United line-up tonight as he led the team into the League Two match with Newport County.
Boss Ronnie Moore was back at Victoria Park after returning to the country following the recovery of young daughter, Charlotte, who was taken ill on a family holiday in Spain.
But the manager revealed via his matchday programme notes that he was letting Collins remain in charge of selection and preparation for this game.
Collins was forced into making one change, Harry Worley missing out after being injured early in the 2-1 win at York City.
Matthew Bates, who had a fine game after coming on as sub at Bootham Crescent, came into the starting XI.
