TEAM NEWS: Three changes as Hartlepool United take on Southend United in League Two

PAUL Murray has made three changes to his Hartlepool United line-up for the trip to Southend United at Roots Hall.

Middlesbrough striker Charlie Wyke and Sunderland defender Scott Harrison return to the team, while fellow loanee Matt Crooks from Huddersfield starts.

New signing Scott Fenwick starts the Sky Bet League Two match against Phil Brown’s side on the bench.

The home side are 7th in League Two, while Pools start the afternoon bottom of the league looking for their third away win of the season.

Marlon Harewood is dropped to the Pools bench, while Matthew Bates is also on the bench again after his return from a calf injury.

Pools are again unable to name a goalkeeper on the bench, the club is still without a Number 2 to Scott Flinders.

Pools (4-5-1): Flinders (C), Duckworth, Collins, Harrison, Austin, Franks, Walker, Featherstone, Crooks, Schmeltz, Wyke.

Subs: Holden, Bates, Harewood, Fenwick, Hawkins, Richards, Jones.

Southend (4-5-1): Bentley, White (C), Thompson, Prosser, Worrall, Timlin, Corr, Hurst, Bolger, Leonard, Payne.

Subs: Smith, Atkinson, Clifford, Coulthirst, Layne, Deegan, Matsuzaka.
