MICK Wadsworth has played down talk linking other clubs with his players and says they’d be “foolish” not to be watching them.

It was rumoured that a number of Championship sides were represented at Victoria Park during Tuesday night’s goalless draw with Huddersfield Town – some to run the rule over one or two of Wadsworth’s men.

Pools, though, are in a position of strength should any approach materialise having tied down the majority of their top stars to long-term contracts back in May.

The transfer deadline is still two weeks away, but the Pools boss (right) told SportMail he isn’t concerned about any potential move for his players.

“I don’t think about the transfer window but everything will be considered if it happens,” he told SportMail.

“I’ve no idea about anyone watching us. I hope they are watching us, if they are not then they are foolish because we have some good players.”
