JACK Barmby is unlikewly to return to Hartlepool United next season.

The former Manchester United forward Jack Barmby who has signed for Leicester City on a two-year deal.

The 19-year-old, son of former England international Nick Barmby, shone at times during 2013-14 scoring five quality goals in 17 appearances after joining on loan from the Red Devils in January.

But after being released by United, Championship winning Leicester City moved to add the England Under 19 star to their development squad.

Pools manager Colin Cooper had told SportMail that last season Barmby - along with other loan signings - had been a credit to their parent clubs and that he wouldn’t hesitate in having any of them back at The Vic.

It remains to be seen whether Barmby will be one of them however, after signing for Premier League side Leicester, although they may look to loan him out again to further enhance his experience and reputation
