Pools chairman Gary Coxall says the club wanted to recognise the "work and the sacrifices" made by those men and women serving both at home and abroad.

The League Two club has revealed it is now offering a discount on season tickets for those fans serving with the Armed Forces, while a military discount will also be available on matchday tickets throughout the 2016-17 campaign.

Coxall said he was keen to show the club’s support for those fans serving with the Forces, adding: "We wanted to recognise the work and the sacrifices made by our Armed Forces both in this country and abroad.

"It’s a small gesture on our part but one we hope will be appreciated and taken up by as many people as possible."

Armed Forces Season Tickets cost just £150 – a saving of £100 on adult season tickets.

A club statement added: "Supporters wishing to purchase one of the discounted Season Tickets would need to bring along their Armed Forces identification to the club ticket office.

"A military discount will also be available on matchday tickets for 2016-17."
