FC Den Bosch 1 Hartlepool United 1
EVAN Horwood's first goal in Hartlepool United colours helped to earn a draw in their second and final Dutch friendly.
Horwood's deflected long-range strike handed Pools the lead in an entertaining encounter with Dutch second tier outfit FC Den Bosch.
Pools' advantage only lasted three minutes before Samuel Scheimann levelled matters for Den Bosch with a stunning individual goal.
But there were plenty of positives for director of sport Chris Turner in a much better spectacle than the 1-0 defeat to Almere City in the opening pre-season friendly two days earlier.
The impressive Tony Sweeney almost gave Pools an early lead but they were indebted to goalkeeper Scott Flinders who made several impressive stops while the woodwork came to their rescue on two occasions.
