Hartlepool boss Neale Cooper says spirit played big part in 3-0 hammering of Notts County

NEALE Cooper believes the spirit and willingness of his players to fight for each other was the key to Saturday’s 3-0 crushing of Notts County.
The Magpies failed to register an effort on target as Pools exacted revenge for a woeful display which resulted in the reverse scoreline at Meadow Lane in October.
But from the start the hosts bullied their opponents and cruised to victory thanks to a brace from Tony Sweeney and a late Andy Monkhouse effort.
And Cooper told SportMail: “Everyone fought each other’s corner, they never gave up.
“Each and every one of them helped the other out.

“It’s so pleasing for me to see the fighting spirit they have for each other – it is immense.”
