Pools ace Murray out to inflict more misery on Preston

PRESTON resident Paul Murray is well aware of the problems within the town’s troubled football club – and he wants Hartlepool United to take full advantage tonight (kick off 7.45pm).
New North End boss Graham Westley has reportedly already upset several members of the squad he inherited from the sacked Phil Brown.
The former Stevenage chief sent a string of late-night text messages to his players on the eve of last month’s 2-0 home defeat to Leyton Orient, and that has prompted rumours of unrest in the Deepdale camp.
Murray – who has lived in Preston for the best part of a decade – has contacts within the club, and he believes there is no better time to take on the pre-season promotion favourites.
“The stuff coming out of Preston is not great with how unhappy they are,” the midfield ace told SportMail today.
“We’ve all seen the text messages that have been going on and there’s other stuff.
“I’ve spoken to a few people in the club and they’re not happy, the players.
“So it’s probably a good time to play them.”
