Pools regulars to face Dutch

CHRIS Turner will name a starting line-up tonight which bears more of a resemblance to Hartlepool United's first choice XI.

The director of sport split his first-team regulars between the two teams which played either half of Tuesday's 1-0 defeat to Almere City with Denis Behan, Leon McSweeney and Gary Liddle the main players in the opening 45 minutes.

But Turner is keen to field a more familiar side in tonight's final Dutch friendly against FC Den Bosch and could wait until the hour mark before making significant changes.

That is likely to mean a start for James Brown after the 23-year-old was not risked on an artificial surface against Almere because of his history of knee problems.

Jon-Andre Fredriksen could feature tonight after missing Tuesday's game with a thigh strain sustained on tour although club captain Ritchie Humphreys will again miss out as he steps up his recovery from a knee problem.

Trialist Evan Horwood, who played the full 90 minutes against Almere, could start at left-back with Turner set to offer the 24-year-old a permanent deal.

Fellow trialists Paul Murray and Fabian Yantorno will again feature after Turner admitted it was difficult to assess both midfielders against Almere.
