Hartley 7 – Hughes reckons he’s in the form of his life and it’s hard to disagree

Horwood 7 – Is marrying his great work going forward to a reliability at the back

Walton 6 – Injury blow after steady start

Humphreys 7 – Came into his own as game wore on and stroked some lovely passes about the park

Baldwin 9 – We’re running out of superlatives for the teenager and it’s hard to believe he was youngest out there. Outstanding. MOM.

Poole 8 – Graft and craft in equal measure and that’s what Hughes has asked for, a deserved standing ovation

Franks 8 – The desire to score his goal personified everything good about Pools right now

Wyke 8 – Deserved his goal and might have surprised watching Boro coaches with just how much he’s improved
