HARTLEPOOL United’s game with Bournemouth is set to go ahead despite overnight snow showers.

The club have confirmed there is no need for a pitch inspection and the game has been given the green light to go ahead.

There had been fears the match would fall foul of the adverse weather which has hit the region in the past week, just as Saturday’s home game with Colchester United had.

But the snow covering the playing surface has now cleared and Pools are set to enjoy their first home match since January 1.
