Season ticket sales at Hartlepool United break through 500 barrier

Officials say the response has been “outstanding” with figures revealing a 35 per cent increase on sales from this time last year.

And long-term Pools fan Norman Webb was the lucky recipient of the 500th ticket sold.

“It’s a great surprise and it’s a good number to have reached so early in the summer,” said Norman, a Rift House resident who has been supporting Pools since the 1960s.

“I was always going to renew my season ticket for this season, definitely – I just can’t wait for Euro 2016 to be over now so we can look forward to the new season at The Vic properly!

“I know we’ve not brought any players in as yet this summer but I’m hopeful that we’ll see some decent ones arriving and we can have a good 2016-17.”

Fans have until Friday, July 1 to take advantage of the Early Bird discounts, while current season ticket holders must renew by Friday, June 17th to guarantee their existing seats.

Pools have introduced a new season ticket card for the new campaign and, as part of that revamp, fans can now buy them online as well as purchase match-by- match tickets from the comfort of their own home.
