FRAIZER Campbell and Michael Turner will take the first steps on their long-awaited comebacks when they return to light training on Monday.
Striker Campbell has been out of action since rupturing his cruciate ligaments in August while centre-half Turner also suffered knee damage, in November’s 2-2 draw with Everton at the Stadium of Light.
But they will both participate in non-contact training with the first-team next week with a view to returning to full training seven days later.
Sunderland boss Steve Bruce said: “We expect Fraizer Campbell and Michael Turner to be in and amongst the session on Monday. They will do light training with us, but there won’t be any contact just yet.
