A POPULAR seven-a-side football league is on the look out for teams ahead of the new season launching next week.
The league which is based at the Hartlepool Borough Council-run Grayfields recreation ground and run by Football Mundial, starts on Tuesday, July 17.
Matches, each lasting 30 minutes, will then take place on an all-weather pitch every Tuesday from 6pm until 7.30pm.
Daniel Garthwaite, assistant recreation officer with the council’s sport and recreation service, said: “The seven-a-side league had previously proved very popular, and we expect the new season to be no different.”
The league is aimed at players aged 16 plus and there is a cost of £27 per team for the season which will last around 20 weeks.
The league will include a Champions League-style cup competition where teams will battle for a place in the cup finals night.
