NEWCASTLE United face a battle to hold on to teenager Rolando Aarons – with Manchester City and Liverpool eyeing moves for the winger.
The Sunday Times report that talks are yet to start over a new deal for Aarons, who has forced his way into Alan Pardew’s first team this season.
Aarons – who celebrated his 19th birthday today – signed a professional contract at St James’s Park late last season.
Newcastle didn’t reveal the length of the deal at the time, but the newspaper reports that it runs to the end of the campaign with the option of another year.
Premier League champions City are said to be monitoring Aarons’s situation along with Liverpool.
Aarons – who has scored two goals so far this season – is sidelined with a hamstring injury.
