MIDDLESBROUGH fans based in Hartlepool and East Durham are being urged to go to the next official supporters club meeting.

The Middlesbrough Official Supporters Club is due to meet on Monday, August 18 from 7pm in the Fenton Suite at the Riverside Stadium.

Chris Joseph, chairman, said: “We are pleased and privileged to welcome our confirmed guest speaker and a true Boro legend, Alan Peacock for the meeting and question and answer session.

“He is a former Boro and Leeds United player and will be able to offer us a special insight into what it was like to play for Boro alongside Brian Clough, and Leeds, and of course England.”

Mr Joseph said: “We welcome members old and new to the meeting.”

People can join at the meetings. Membership costs £6 per adult and £2 per child under 16 years of age for the full 2014-15 season.

Organisers say two passport sized photos are required per application.

Members always get discount for social events and travel costs for special trips.
