MIDDLESBROUGH have allowed full-back Justin Hoyte to join Championship rivals Millwall on loan until January 1.

Hoyte (pictured) has been frozen out of the first team picture at the Riverside this season in all but two of the games.

Having signed for £3million in 2008 from Arsenal, the pacy right-back – who had a lengthy spell at Sunderland between 2005 and 2006 – Hoyte has been a regular fixture in the Boro shirt over the past five years.

He has clocked up almost 150 appearances but it now appears that the seven-time capped Trinidad & Tobago man will not be returning to Teesside with his contract expiring at the end of the season.

Upon securing his move to play for Steve Lomas’s Lions after training with the Londoners, Hoyte, 27, took to Twitter to comment.

He said: “Thank u for the support an good luck msg boro fans, thank u for the welcoming msgs from my new fans of Millwall thank you, fresh start”.
