Hartlepool-born Middlesbrough midfielder Bryn Morris has joined managerless York City on a month-long loan deal.
The 19-year-old will go straight into the squad for Saturday’s trip to Crawley Town.
Morris began his career with the Riverside outfit at the age of 11, rapidly progressing through their academy before becoming the club’s third youngest player at 16 years and 254 days when he appeared in an FA Cup victory in January 2013.
Since then he has captained England at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 levels, amassing 29 appearances across the various age groups, scoring three times.
Morris has had loan spells at last season’s Sky Bet League Two champions, Burton Albion, before taking in a similar spell with League One side Coventry City earlier this season.
York City sacked manager Russ Wilcox after Saturday's 3-1 home defeat by AFC Wimbledon. His departure came after a run of nine games without a victory.
