MIDDLESBROUGH forward Luke Williams has been recalled from his loan spell with League One side Peterborough.

The striker joined the London Road club on loan transfer deadline day at the end of January and made two appearances for the League One side.

He has now returned to the Championship side, having enjoyed previous loan spells at fellow League One sides Scunthorpe and Coventry this season.

Williams enjoyed a loan spell at Hartlepool United last season, under then manager Colin Cooper.

Williams was one of three players sent back to their parent clubs by Posh.

Alan Sheehan (Bradford City) and James Pearson (Leicester City) also hardly featured since joining in January.
