MIDDLESBROUGH legend Gary Pallister will be the star guest at the Riverside stadium store tomorrow as Boro fans enjoy an early opportunity to buy the new 2014-15 kits.
The former Boro, Manchester United and England defender will drop in around 10am to view the latest strips, which have been kept a closely-guarded secret.
Season card holders get first chance to purchase the kit today, when they can also collect pre-orders.
The following day will see the strips go on general sale for non-Season Card holders.
“Gary is looking forward to meeting the fans on Friday – but even he doesn’t know what the new kits look like,” says Head of Retail and Ticketing Jo-Ann Swinnerton.
“We’re confident supporters will love them and we think the home shirts, in particular, will be a real talking point.”
With the town-centre outlet no longer available, opening hours have been extended at the stadium store from 8am to 8pm on June 5-6.
The store will also be open on Saturday June 7 from 9am to 5pm and on Sunday June 8 from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
Kits can also be ordered by phoning 08444 992676 or by logging on to www.mfc.co.uk.
Further good news for fans is that there will be no price increase on 2014-15 kit.
Adult shirts are priced at £45.00, with children’s shirts ranging from £38.00 to £45.00.
An exciting new range of training wear will also be available from mid-June.
Meanwhile, Boro will play newly-promoted League One side Rochdale in a pre-season friendly at Spotland Stadium on Saturday July 26 (KO 3.00pm). Ticket details will be announced shortly.
It’s the second warm-up game to be scheduled following last week’s announcement that Boro will travel to League Two neighbours Hartlepool Utd on Wednesday July 30 (KO 7.30pm).
Tickets for Victoria Park are priced £10 adults and £5 Under-16/Over-60.
