Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray ready to plunder loan market
GUTTED ... Tony Mowbray.
TONY Mowbray will “utilise” the loan market to solve Middlesbrough’s injury crisis but admitted this shopping trip won’t be easy.
Mowbray has already brought in striker Lukas Jutkiewicz from Coventry for £1.5 million and explained that he will need to add more new faces during the current injury troubles.
While Boro are not rolling in money, the boss explained he does have a little “leeway” after two televised FA Cup ties have boosted the coffers, with a potential third ITV appearance if they can beat Sunderland in Wednesday’s fourth round replay to set up a visit of Arsenal to the Riverside.
“We can look at what we’ve already got in our squad, we can look at the youngsters, this club has always given them opportunities,” said Mowbray.”
