Middlesbrough must make the most of their chance to gain promotion to the Premier League on Monday, says Jelle Vossen.

Boro play Norwich City in the Championship play-off final at Wembley with elevation to the top flight and £100million in additional income the prize for the winners.

This could be the only chance for some players to get to the Premier League.

Belgian Vossen is of no doubt which league Boro should reside in come August and is desperate to achieve promotion.

He said: “This could be the only chance for some players to get to the Premier League.

“This is a big chance.

“We have a lot of qualities, and if we can put that onto the pitch with our attitude we can beat every team in this league.

“We have to prepare for the game like we have prepared for every game this season.”

A bout of inconsistency towards the end of the regular campaign scuppered Boro’s automatic promotion hopes.

Nonetheless, on-loan Genk frontman Vossen would still rather be on Teesside than already promoted Bournemouth and Watford.

“It’s just the perfect place to be this season,” he added.

“Everyone in this club deserves go to Wembley.”
