Steve McClaren has named an unchanged team for this afternoon's home game against Leicester City.

McClaren has fielded the same Newcastle United XI that beat Bournemouth 1-0 before the international break.

And in-form striker Jamie Vardy has been passed fit to line up for Leicester.

Vardy, having scored in his last nine games, is looking to equal a 12-year-old record held by Ruud van Nistelrooy by netting against United

Alan Shearer, Newcastle's all-time record goalscorer, took to Twitter to send a message to Vardy before the game.

He tweeted: "Good luck today at Newcastle @vardy7 But hoping any goal is just a consolation!"
