FORMER Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood has ruled himself out of the running to replace Alan Pardew at Newcastle United.
Sherwood – who has been out of work since leaving Tottenham at the end of last season – was installed as one of the favourites to succeed Pardew at St James’s Park when he left for Crystal Palace.
However, he does not appear to be interested in the role.
He told talkSPORT: “This one, for me, is not something I will be interested in.
“I want to make sure the next (job) is going to be the right one. I want to be picky, I want to be picking the right one.
“I am still a young manager and I think there is plenty of time for me. I don’t want to rush back into the first job (offered).
“I’m desperate to get back in but I’m not desperate for anything.”
