BOOKMAKERS have cut the odds on Alan Pardew becoming the next Premier League manager to lose his job.
Pardew is 4/1 second-favourite behind West Ham United’s Sam Allardyce in the sack race betting market.
The 53-year-old had been chalked up at 9/1 after the summer transfer window closed on Monday night.
But the odds have shortened in the last 24 hours after a flurry of bets on Pardew being the next top-flight manager to go.
One report claimed last night that Pardew – whose side are yet to win in the league this season – has two games to save his job.
Pardew faces a backlash from fans after allowing Hatem Ben Arfa to join Hull City on loan.
