CHEIK Tiote will be back for Newcastle United at Old Trafford.
The midfielder has missed the last four games with a knee problem.
But Tiote returned to training on Saturday morning as his team-mates prepared to take on Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium across the Pennines.
And manager Alan Pardew expects the 25-year-old to be available to face their rivals Manchester United.
Winger Gabriel Obertan should also be fit to face his former club after recovering from a toe infection.
And striker Leon Best will be available after missing the City game with a groin problem.
“We heard that Cheik trained very well (Saturday morning),” Pardew said. “That’s really great news for us.
“He would have been an important player. I think he and Obertan will be available for Man United. I really hope so – it’ll improve my options.
“Leon Best just didn’t make it – he trained Thursday and Friday, but just felt his groin. I think he’ll be fine.”
