MANCHESTER City are targeting midfielder Ravel Morrison, according to reports today.

The 20-year-old midfielder is currently on loan at Birmingham City from West Ham.

The youngster was a target for Newcastle United last year when he was still a Manchester United player.

Highly-rated by Sir Alex Ferguson, he decided to leave Old Trafford because of restricted chances, but Alan Pardew’s hopes of signing him were scuppered and he eventually joined West Ham.

However, he failed to make an impact there and joined Birmingham on loan, where he has excelled under the management of former Newcastle and Sunderland star Lee Clark.

Now, City could bring him back to Manchester, reports the Daily Mirror, though Pardew may want to resurrect his interest in the talented player.
