PREMIER Division strugglers Newcastle United and Sunderland have been handed tricky away days to npower Championship sides in the FA Cup.

The third round draw gave Newcastle a trip to Brighton while Sunderland, fourth bottom in the Barclays Premier League after losing 2-1 yesterday at Norwich, must visit Bolton Wanderers.

For the Magpies, the Amex Stadium holds some painful memories after losing 1-0 back in January in the fourth-round tie.

Sunderland boss Martin O’Neill, desperate for a win in any competition, hinted that only the top flight was currently on his mind.

“The Bolton game is still a long way off, but when it comes around, I’ll be very much looking forward to it,” he said.

There was better news though for Middlesbrough, who will be at home to non-league opposition.

Boro, who visit Swansea next week in the Capital One Cup, will face the winners of Harrogate v Hastings.

The sides drew 1-1 at Wetherby Road on Saturday and will replay in Sussex next week.

There were four all-Premier League ties: Swansea v Arsenal, Southampton v Chelsea, QPR v West Brom and West Ham v Manchester United.
